HEIST: Senate Hearing Uncovers $93 BILLION Sent from DOE to Entities With No Financials or Oversight In 76 Days Between Trump Win and Biden Exit

"So you're telling me the Dept. of Energy, in the 76-day period before their boss was going to leave office, gave out loan money to entities that had no business plan?" asks Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.).

'Well over twice as much as in the previous 15 years,' affirms Secretary of Energy Chris Wright.

A Senate appropriations committee hearing revealed the Department of Energy handed out a whopping $93 BILLION to various entities – with no oversight or accountability – during the 76-day transition of power between the 2024 election and President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Questioning Secretary of Energy Chris Wright on Wednesday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La) asked, “Mr. Secretary, I want to go back to some of your earlier testimony to be sure I heard it correctly. The 76-day period you’re talking about. That’s the period between the time that President Trump was elected and President Biden left office…And during that short period of time, 76 days, how much taxpayer money went out the door of the Department of Energy?”

“From the loan program office in loans and commitments, $93 billion,” Sec. Wright responded. “Well over twice as much as in the previous 15 years.”

“There are lots of funds that have gone out the door and commitments that were made from businesses that provided no business plan, no numbers, about their own financial solvency or how this project is going to work,” Wright later added.

“So you’re telling me the Department of Energy, in the 76-day period before their boss was going to leave office, gave out loan money to entities that had no business plan?” Sen. Kennedy asked.

“Correct,” Wright replied.

“No financials?” Kennedy asked.

“Correct,” replied the Energy sec, adding, “A number of those were not before the 76-day period, as well.”

After establishing the Energy Dept. was loaning billions of “free” taxpayer money to entities with less than “half-baked” ideas, Sen. Kennedy hammered home the dire situation.

“It’s rare that I’m speechless, but I want to be sure I understood the people running the Department of Energy for President Biden’s administration shoveled $93 billion, not million, $93 billion out the door in 76 days and it just happened to be the time between when President Trump was elected and President Biden, their boss was leaving. Is that right?”

“It is correct and distasteful,” Sec. Wright replied adding, “confidence undermining.”

“My God,” uttered Sen. Kennedy, urging the secretary to continue uncovering fraud, waste and abuse.

“Look, I hope you take whatever time you need to go through all of these projects, penny by penny,” he said.

“It just sounds to me like there were a lot of people coming to the Department of Energy who had all four feet and they’re snout in the trough. And I hope you’ll turn down the boondoggles and refer the thieves to the Department of Justice.”

“We will indeed,” Sec. Wright responded.

The alleged DOE money laundering scheme mirrors a similar plot uncovered by Project Veritas, which caught an EPA adviser admitting the department funneled $100 billion in grants to climate groups before Trump took office.

“Now it’s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in … it’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge,” EPA special advisor Brent Efron said on undercover video.

Earlier this month, the New York Post also reported on an EPA “slush fund” that funneled $375 billion to climate groups, doled out under the oversight of former Clinton campaign manager and Biden climate czar John Podesta.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has vowed to investigate the billions laundered by the previous administration, declaring in February, ā€œThere will be a zero tolerance of any waste and abuse.”
